Each wheel design must pass numerous endurance tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz specifications, which go far beyond the legal requirements. This includes special test procedures that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as examination of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.



Gloss-turned wheels undergo additional tests such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully passed may the wheels be included in the product range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.
