Each wheel is precisely matched to the respective vehicle in terms of load capacity and dimensions. Before the alloy wheels can become a safe companion on every journey, they have to undergo a comprehensive development and testing process. All wheel designs have to pass a series of stringent endurance tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, which far exceed the legal requirements. These include special test procedures that simulate real conditions on the road, as well as material analyses in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed may the wheels be included in the product portfolio as an
original Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheel.
AMG light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
