The new generation of mid-range models, which came onto the market in December 1984 as the successor to the 123 series, was also highly appreciated. It was strongly oriented towards the overall concept of the compact class and the use of high-strength sheet steel and other weight-reducing materials enabled a significant reduction in fuel consumption to be achieved in these models. In September 1989, a completely revised mid-range model range was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show. October 1990 saw the launch of the 500 E, a new top-of-the-range model in the 124 series, which impressed with a 326 hp 5.0-liter V8 four-valve engine. The exclusive model was produced in collaboration with Porsche. Of course, the 500 E Sedan W 124 should not be missing from any collection as a 1:18 scale miniature model. The precision model, which is assembled by hand from over 128 individual parts, attaches great importance to the faithful reproduction of all interior details and allows six parts (doors, hood and tailgate) to be opened. Painted in an authentic color, the saloon comes in Mercedes-Benz Classic packaging, which includes a screwdriver and a glove for removing the model.
