The light-alloy wheels from Mercedes-Benz not only give the vehicle a more attractive appearance, but also guarantee maximum safety.



Each wheel is precisely tailored to the vehicle in terms of load capacity and size. Before the alloy wheels can be used as reliable companions on every journey, they have to undergo a comprehensive development and testing program. Each wheel design must pass a series of hardness tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz standards, all of which exceed the legal requirements. This includes special test methods that mimic real traffic conditions as well as material testing in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.



Gloss-turned wheels are subject to additional tests, such as extremely corrosive salt spray or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed may the wheels be included in the product range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light alloy wheels.
