Every Mercedes-Benz light alloy wheel is developed and manufactured to the highest quality standards in order to offer maximum safety and appearance. An extensive development and testing program ensures that all wheels are precisely matched to the vehicle in terms of load and dimensions. This also includes special tests that simulate real challenges in road traffic as well as examinations of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities. Bright-turned wheels must also pass highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program before they are delivered as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels. Each light-alloy wheel is fitted with a wheel hub cover, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
