Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels not only make the vehicle look more attractive, they also ensure maximum safety. All wheels are specially designed for the respective vehicle and must meet the highest quality standards. To this end, they are subjected to an extensive development and testing program in which Mercedes-Benz guidelines exceed the legal requirements. These test procedures simulate real challenges in road traffic and test the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities. Polished wheels are also subjected to highly corrosive salt spray and a 28-day climate change program. Only after all tests have been passed are the wheels added to the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light alloy wheels. The wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
