Mercedes-Benz wrote a new chapter in the history of the car manufacturer in 1959 with the introduction of the revised passenger car range. Three completely redesigned models, the 220 b, 220 Sb and 220 SEb, appeared under the slogan 'The new six-cylinder models - in a class of their own'.
