Each wheel design is subjected to a series of stringent tests to ensure that it meets the requirements of the vehicle. These include endurance tests that simulate real road conditions, as well as examinations of the materials in modern X-ray facilities. Bright-turned wheels must pass additional tests such as corrosive salt spray and a 28-day climate change program. Only after all tests have been passed can the wheels be sold as genuine Mercedes-Benz light alloy wheels. All wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
