Each wheel is precisely adapted to the respective vehicle in terms of load and size. Before the alloy wheels can be considered safe companions on every journey, they have to undergo a comprehensive development and testing program. Each wheel design must pass a large number of endurance tests, which are carried out according to strict Mercedes-Benz standards and exceed the legal requirements. These include special test procedures that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as examinations of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Gloss-turned wheels undergo additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully passed may the wheels be included in the product range as
original Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.
AMG light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
