Before they are approved as loyal companions on every journey, the alloy wheels must undergo an extensive development and testing process. Each wheel design has to pass a series of stringent endurance tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, which far exceed the legal requirements. These include special test methods that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests such as highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day alternating climate program. Only if all tests are successfully passed are the wheels included in the product portfolio as an
original Mercedes-Benz light alloy wheel.
AMG light alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
