Each wheel is precisely matched to the respective vehicle in terms of its load capacity and dimensions. Before the alloy wheels are approved for all types of driving, they have to undergo an extensive development and testing program. Each wheel design has to pass a large number of hardness tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, which far exceed the legal requirements. This includes special test procedures that simulate real road traffic conditions as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests, such as extremely corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only if all tests are successfully passed may the wheels be included in the range as
original Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.
AMG light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
