Before the light alloy wheels can become safe companions on every journey, they have to undergo a comprehensive development and testing process. Each wheel design must pass a large number of endurance tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz standards that exceed all legal requirements. These include special test methods that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed can the wheels be included in the range as
original Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.
AMG light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
