Each wheel is perfectly matched to the vehicle in terms of load capacity and size. Before the alloy wheels can be considered a safe companion on all journeys, they have to undergo a comprehensive development and testing program. Each wheel has to pass a large number of endurance tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz standards, which far exceed the legal requirements. This includes special test procedures that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Gloss-turned wheels must withstand additional tests such as highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day alternating climate program. Only when all tests have been successfully passed may the wheels be included in the range as
original Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.
AMG light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
