Each wheel is precisely matched to the respective vehicle in terms of its load and dimensions. Before the alloy wheels are approved as safe companions for all journeys, they undergo an extensive development and testing program. Each wheel design must pass a series of stringent endurance tests in accordance with Mercedes-Benz guidelines, which go far beyond the legal requirements. This includes special test procedures that simulate realistic road traffic conditions and material analyses in state-of-the-art X-ray equipment.
Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed may the wheels be included in the range as
original Mercedes-Benz light alloy wheels.
AMG light alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
