Each wheel is precisely matched to the vehicle in terms of load and dimensions. Before the alloy wheels are approved as reliable companions for all journeys, they undergo a comprehensive development and testing program. Each wheel design must pass a large number of endurance tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines that exceed all legal requirements. These include special test procedures that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as examinations of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Highly polished wheels must withstand additional tests such as highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day weather modification program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed may the wheels be included in the range as
original Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.
AMG light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
