Each wheel is precisely matched to the respective vehicle in terms of its load capacity and dimensions. However, before the forged wheels can become reliable companions on all journeys, they have to undergo a comprehensive development and testing program. All wheel designs must pass a series of demanding endurance tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz standards, which far exceed the legal requirements. This includes special test methods that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as examination of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Glossy turned or polished wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only after all tests have been successfully passed may the wheels be included in the range as
original Mercedes-Benz forged wheels.
AMG forged wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
