Each wheel is precisely matched to the vehicle in terms of its load capacity and size. Before the alloy wheels can be reliable companions on all journeys, they have to undergo a comprehensive development and testing program. Each wheel design must pass a large number of load tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz standards, which far exceed the legal requirements. This includes special test procedures that simulate realistic road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed are the wheels included in the product range as an
original Mercedes-Benz light alloy wheel.
AMG light alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel fasteners.
