All wheels are precisely matched to the load and dimensions of the vehicle. Before the light alloy wheels can become reliable companions on all journeys, they undergo an extensive development and testing program. Each wheel design has to pass a large number of endurance tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, all of which exceed the legal requirements. These include special test procedures that simulate real-life challenges in road traffic, as well as examinations of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed may the wheels be included in the range as
original Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.
AMG light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
