Preparation for remote access services via the Mercedes me app **

With the Mercedes me app, you can conveniently control the charging processes with your smartphone. You receive information about the charging status and a clear overview of your charging history. The wallbox can be easily connected to your own WLAN, LAN or, if required, to the Internet via LTE-M***.

Safety is paramount

The built-in components (6 mA DC fault current detector) offer additional protection for the vehicle, the house installation and the wallbox during charging. In addition, the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox can be activated or locked via the app or RFID card to protect against unauthorized use.****

Over-the-air updates

The Mercedes-Benz Wallbox has the technical capability to receive 'over-the-air' software updates via your own WLAN, LAN or via the supplied LTE-M SIM card***. For example, you could receive new functions for integrating the Wallbox into an energy management system in the future. To receive the 'over-the-air' updates, you must agree to the respective update in the Mercedes me app or give general consent in the Mercedes me app to receive all future updates.**

Installation

With our Mercedes-Benz Wallbox Pre-Check, you can already check how well prepared you are for charging at home. If you are interested in a professional wallbox installation, please contact our installation partner in your country. The installation is not included in the purchase price, but you will receive a cost estimate for the installation from our installation partner, who will also be happy to check at your home whether a wallbox can be installed. An Internet connection via LAN, WLAN or LTE-M*** is required for installation. You will receive further information after purchasing the wallbox or from your local Mercedes-Benz dealer.
